AEG 2024 Kickoff Dinner – 2/21
We are excited to jumpstart 2021 by welcoming David Bardsley, PG to Fates in Scottsdale for our next AEG Dinner!
David Bardsley, PG has nearly 40 years of geotechnical, water supply and environmental drilling experience working in a variety of settings across the United States. He started his career as a drill rig helper advancing through various technical and managerial positions in both small and large drilling companies. He was an early leader in the use of horizontal directional drilling and well installation methods to solve complex environmental and water supply challenges.
Mr. Bardsley has a B.S. in Geology & Geophysics along with a Communications Minor (1984) from the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is a licensed well driller in Texas, Arizona and Louisiana and holds RG/PG certifications in TX, MO, LA, and TN.
The topic of the night will be:
Horizontal drilling is an innovative subsurface access technology that delivers increased communication between contamination and remediation solutions. This non-commercial seminar lasts approximately 50 minutes and attendees will leave with a basic understanding of the following horizontal environmental well installation fundamentals:
- History of horizontal environmental wells
- Applications and advantages of horizontal wells
- Horizontal drilling and well installation nomenclature
- Drilling, installation, and development fundamentals
- Well materials
- Drilling equipment
- Potential problems and challenges to successful installations
- Case studies
